F1 Concept
Blender
May 2005

As entered for the Blender 3D F1 design contest. The only design criterea is that the vehicle must have an open cockpit.
Modified from the cockpit and hull of a jet fighter plane, the Sonix Racing F1 2005 is powered by twin Rolls Royce RB-211 jet engines, each producing 40,000LB of thrust. I wanted to try and make the car instantly recognisable as an F1 car, but at the same time blow the power and engine regulations wide open.
Modeled, rendered and composited with Blender 3D, textures made with Photoshop.
